As globalization advances, every part of the world is connected to each other and also dependant on some resources. So as in the business world. Every business leaders need international connections to advance their business and gain international standing to be impactful and famed.


Well, that's what every people here reading this blog wants. Still a long time for us, but we can do it slowly, by having good relations with your international partners. I'm sure that some of us here must have a hard time "connect" with foreign business partners. Here's why you are having difficulties in terms of building relations with them :


Not Aware of Your Biases

Probably the most common mistakes everyone here ever did. Even with people from the same country, we still have different habits and cultures. Foreign partners must have different cultures, like gestures, speech, and daily habits. So it is necessary for you to learn the appropriate way to counter them and find common ground in communication.


Forgot the “Golden Rule.”

The universal law of "Treat like you want to be treated" is often forgotten by people. Whenever you meet someone new and different, you probably want to remember the "Golden Rule" for your own good. Even though they have different ways of living, you should treat them like you want to be treated.


Too Stoic and Rigid

The business world itself is a world where unexpected results often hit us hard. We need to think fast and flexible. So as our attitude facing new people. Should you stick in your own way, they would do the same. So it is important to be initiative to serve your partner and flexible with a fast-shifting schedule.


Impatience and Bad Sense of Humor


A habit of rushing to the point is very bad in business communication. Small talks and humor are needed for ice breaking. Sometimes, there are awkward situations between you and your partner and could create embarrassing moments. The solution for that is not to rush and change the topic, but do have a small laugh and give some jokes. That way, both will forget and can go on the point.
