Writer's Opinion and Fact

Updated: Nov 28, 2020

OPINION :

Opinion sentences are sentences that contain someone's opinion, ideas, thoughts, or ideas on a problem. The accuracy of opinion cannot be proven because it is subjective, doubtful, and can be true or false. The author's opinion is the author's opinion. In writing a discourse/editorial/paragraph, the author will include some data or things that are happening at this time. After describing the problem, the writer will add his personal opinion about the topic he discussed. And there are provisions of opinions in writing written by the author, namely :

- There are positive and negative assessments of the issues discussed

- Become the hope of the editor and the hope of the wider community.

- There are editorial opinions that highlight the opinions or policies of important figures related to the issue being discussed, both agreeing and disagreeing.

FACT :

Facts are statements that display the real situation of a problem or event. Because of this, it can be said that the truth of a fact has been tested. In fact, there is no longer any opinion between one person or another. There are only real situations that have been proven and verified. And writing that is accompanied by facts can be acknowledged by facts if :

- The event has happened and according to reality

- There are accurate data and evidence: day, month, year, name of the perpetrator, and place

CONCLUSION :

If we write an article, there must be opinions and facts because if our writing is without facts, then our article is hard to believe because there is no valid evidence for the problem we raise and people who read our articles can think our writing is something which is not true and according to one's own knowledge, therefore it is necessary to have clear facts in a writing
