In workplaces, Every employees, both high and low ranked often find themselves having to maintain an attitude in order to run their job smoothly and without any offense between parties. As someone who wants to be a professional, I want to give you 4 tips to maintain good reps.
Be Polite to Everyone

In your workplace, etiquette is the most important thing wherever you go and to whoever you talk to. First thing that you need to know, is to dress well and appropriately. Wear formal attires for both men and women. Make sure that all the accessories are in place so you'll look all good and tidy.
Also, be polite to your boss, coworkers, even lower employees like office boy. If you can be polite to the lowest ranking employee in your office, you can do it with the others.
Be Aware of Social Differences

Having high reputation on the society is a good thing. So it is necessary to be looked as positive by people. You need to remember the basics of etiquette in the last blog about "Ways to Keep up With Foreign Business Partners". One of them is to follow the 'Golden Rule', which is a rule to treat another person like you want to be treated. Always aware with foreign cultures or biases, so that you may adjust yourself to the social settings you are in.
Be Careful in Online

Digital footprints can be tracked and always be there forever even after you delete it. So it is necessary for you to restrain yourself in online society. You might want to use proper grammar and capitalisation.
To avoid data breach, you can set a long and complex password to secure your account, because a hacked account can create a nightmare for you.
Be Undistracted by Mobile Device

In a direct contact with others, make sure you don't lose focus to your devices. Always keep attention when others are talking, especially your boss. Do not use loud ringtones, make sure it is muted when someone's pitching. Also, never snoop someone through your camera, because that is very impolite and crossing personal boundaries.
It seems easy, but the reality of controlling oneself is not easy as it is written here. But do remember, If you maintain control and patience, you'll be respected by society
